Last night we went for a 70's concert with the  The Hallé orchestra and we had a great time. 

The whole orchestra was  dressed up, looking very cool! and I must say it was a very engaging concert, everybody was dancing and enjoying themselves.

We loved it!

I can't believe 2011 is almost over and I must admit I'm looking forward to get on with 2012. 

I have lots of things in mind, new projects, holiday back to Spain.... I can't wait! but for the moment we are still in Manchester enjoying our last free days. On the 4th we'll be back to the routine so... let's make the most of it.

Que ganas tengo que llegue el 2012! Con nuevos proyectos en mente y una visita a la familía en febrero, no os podéis ni imaginar lo bien que vamos a empezar el año Nuevo aquí en Manchester.

Cada vez quedan menos días de vacaciones, volveremos a la rutina a partir del 4 de Enero así  que, a disfrutar de los  días  que quedan.

How to write a Christmas card in Spanish

This is a post for all my English readers.

I thought you might want to know what to write to in a Spanish Christmas card. 

If you want a basic message then you just need to write:

"Feliz Navidad y Próspero Año Nuevo"
This means " Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year"
Keep it simple! That'smy motto :)

Christmas cards. Tarjetas de Navidad.

Today Ioan started to write down all the Christmas cards he wants to give to his class mates. Here in the U.K. is very common  to write down a Christmas card to every kid in your class and Ioan is always very excited about it.
It's a very hard work because he wants to write down everyone's name, plus his name, plus the names on the envelopes and it feels like a never end story but he is happy to do it so that's good!

Esta manaña Ioan ha empezado a escribir sus tarjetas de Navidad. Aquí en Inglaterra es muy común escribir una tarjeta a cada compañero de tu clase y a Ioan le encanta hacerlo.
La verdad es que parece que cuando empieza, nunca acaba. Tiene que escribir todos los nombre de sus compañeros, su nombre, los nombres en los sobres... Uff! pero a Ioan le gusta y, en mi opinión, siempre le ayuda a mejorar su escritura, pues él quiere que le queden bien bonitas.
Seguro que esta semana nos van a ir llegando un montón así que iremos haciendo fotos para que las veáis todas.

Advent calendar. Calendario del Adviento.

December has just started and so has the count down for Christmas.
Advent calendars are very popular and they are a good thing to help our sons and daughters to count.
This is the one I got for Ioan this year. They sell so many different types of caledars that I didn't know which one to choose so in the end  I thought Ioan would love this one with "Father Christmas", or Mos Craciun, as we call him home.

Los calendarios del Adviento son muy populares hoy en día y son un recurso muy bueno para ayudar a nuestros hijos a contar, así como a tener paciencia, pues solo pueden abrir una ventanita al día y eso, para un niño es tener muy dificil.
Venden tantos tipos de calendarios que al final no sabía cual elegir. Quería algo navideño así que supongo que este les gustara a Ioan.
