Yummy muffins. Madalenas caseras.

We had a busy baking afternoon and these are the results. They smell yummy and they are delicious! :)
Hoy ha sido una tarde de hornear y éste ha sido el resultado: Unas deliciosas madalenas que están para chuparse los dedos. :)

Building bridges. Construyendo puentes.

Yesterday Ioan surprised me with this beautiful bridge. I have no idea why he decided to build it like that but from the moment I saw it I thought how good it is  he is developing his own creativity using the toys he has. 

It feels  good  to know that he doens't always need to be in from of a technology toy to be able to enjoy himself. He was happy that I took a photo and immediately he asked:

" Will you post it in your blog?"  He thought I was a real piece of art. What a boy!

Ayer Ioan me sorprendió con este puente. No sé como se le ocurrió la idea de construirlo así, pero desde el primer  momento en que lo ví, pensé en lo importante que es para nuestros hijos el que sean capaces de hacer cosas, de jugar con sus juguetes sin necesitad de tecnologías. Exactamente igual que cuando nosotros eramos niños.
Me gusto mucho su idea y enseguida le hicimos una foto, ¿Sabéis que me preguntó?
"Mamá, ¿Vas a colgar mi puente en tu blog?" Menudo está hecho Ioan! Estaba tan satisfecho de su construcción.
Bueno, pues ahí lo tenéis. Un puente de enlace para un futuro mejor. 

Bird houses from Denzell Gardens. Casas para pájaros.

These are some photos we took few days ago. Ioan and I went for our usual walk to the Denzell gardens and we looked out for all the bird houses. There were many! 

Don't you think they are just beautiful?

Hace unos días Ioan y yo nos fuimos a pasear a los Denzell Gardens y, como no, nos pusimos a buscar casas para pájaros, es uno de nuestros pasatiempos favoritos cuando salimos a pasear.

 Estos árboles tienen un montón y son preciosas. Esperemos que den casa a muchos pájaros de la zona ahora que se acerca el invierno.

 Yo les veo un encanto especial. Espero que os gusten!

School Harvest Festival. Festival de la "Cosecha"

This morning we celebrated a Harvest Festival at Ioan's school. It was a nice and sweet ceremony. The kids sang, the read some poems and they did very, very well.

This is a little video of one of the songs they sang. I couldn't understand much at the beginning but I think these are the lyrics of the vesper:

Esta mañana ha sido el Festival de la cosecha en el cole de Ioan y, la verdad, ha sido super entrañable. Da gusto ver a todos lo alumnos sentaditos, cantando, recitando poemas... Ha estado super bien.

Aquí os cuelgo un video cortito de una de las canciones. Al  principio no podía entender nada, ha sido Ioan, después más tarde en casa, el que me ha ayudado a encontrar la letra  en internet.

El colegio ha realizado también una colecta de comida y cosas de la casa para una de la ONGs de Manchester. Hay que poner un granito siempre que se pueda... seas creyente o no lo seas.
